We are incredibly honored to present free screenings of the critically acclaimed documentaries BRIDGE TO BAGHDAD, A DCTV and Chat The Planet special produced by NextNext Entertainment and Downtown Community Television Center and AFGHANISTAN; GROUND ZERO TO GROUND ZERO. It will feature a panel discussion Q&A on the "artivist" (when artistic vision and social action collide) which is not to be missed. It will be seen in our theater on a 17' screen and simultaneously on the street by way of our 42nd St. performance window via video monitor and outdoor sound system. After the screening, watch and listen to the panel and Q & A from the street or come inside and add your voice and energy to the mix. For more event info: ---About the documentary--- ...theres Jon Alpert, the independent TV-documentary filmmaker, formerly of PBS, formerly of the Today show, with twelve Emmys, who was in Iraq during the Gulf War, and who, in the weeks before the start of the second Iraq war, was again in Baghdad, where he managed to do what the networks say they couldnt do: get uncensored, unmonitored footage inside Iraqi homes.
