If the world was fair, there would have been about 50 people hanging with him, over half of which would have been United States politicians. Saddam being hung...without his friends...how sad they couldn't join the party. I don't believe in the death penalty in any situation. I think an actual life sentence might be applicable for those whom have had a proper trial [to global standards] where all the evidence was entered and scrutinized under a global standard [that still needs to be created] of legal representation.
That said, that bastard deserved to die and there are thousands just like him all around the world. The difference is I believe "they" should "all" be in jail, not martyred or something.
BTW - Sometimes I just want this shit to stop. And then I remember this is an inherent and unfortunate element of the horrible things we do to one another.
Earth is nothing more than a big chess board where we are all pushed around, used as pawns, thrown into danger at a whim or a fancy, wondering what affect the actual players will have on our lives...as pieces. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-7532034279766935521
