We combine artistic and social empowerment
to help people think more
critically as a global citizen about the creation of art, technology
and social policy. The Purpose Lounge creates an artistically framed
dialog
between artists and concerned citizens about the issues of the day
with the goal of establishing a greater sense of societal ownership
and involvement. In addition to our creative artistic focus, we enable
and motivate people to use their skills to help others in the form of
mentor training. Portions will be filmed in a C-Span-like format to be
archived and viewed on this page to keep the conversation going.

This exciting month of events commemorating February's Black History
Month celebration is an introduction to our Purpose Lounge program that
will launch in June 2009.
