[note] This is an archived site from our work with the 34th Chapter of Veterans for Peace. We are sad to have learned about the passing of Hugh Bruce, who initially brought us in to work with this amazing org. We are honored to have worked with them and wish them all well. Though the site is only an archive site and by no means up-to-date, you can see the type of amazing work they did.
Check out VFP Chapter 34 in this mini-documentary filmed at New York City's Gay Pride Parade. The beliefs of the 34th shine through during this journey on the streets of Manhattan.
Veterans for Peace has unanimously endorsed an end to the dehumanizing "Don't ask, Don't tell" policy, which debases patriotic members of the military who are Gay, Lesbian, or Bisexual. We support the class-action suit against the Dept. of Defense initiated by the 52 Army translators (fluent in Arabic) who were discharged because the Army considered their love life more important than the lives of our soldiers.
