DJ Darryl Hell "Tool and Die" live remix

This is a jammed DJ remix of Consolidated's Tool and Die by DJ Darryl Hell, filmed at Xris Flam's Mindswerve Studio, NYC. It is a 3-camera live mix done by Wolfgang Busch;
w/camera by Michael Intile & Wolfgang Busch.

Tool and Die, released on Consolidated's "Play More Music" CD in 1992, still speaks to the conditions of many poor rural and urban regions. Over 15-years later, gun violence is still one of the primary causes of death in poverty-ridden areas of the "United States." He even refers to the Iraqi War...brought to us by the dynasty that brought us "Iraq 2: Military-Industrial Complex Boogaloo."

Consolidated holds a legendary place within the industrial genre, much as the Dead Kennedy's in punk and Public Enemy does in hip-hop. Their hard-driving beats were matched perfectly by lyrically bombastic unambiguous positions about the US government and the global community as a whole. In an entertainment industry filled with vapid entertainers, we celebrate any and all artists who break that mold.

Since 1986, Hell has established himself as one of the only dj's to have brought a hip-hop style of dj'ing to the experimental industrial/noise music genre.
