Performing Arts Center, located at153rd Street & Jamaica Avenue,
Jamaica Queens, are hosting two weeks of exciting and educational
events, commemorating & celebrating the 145 year of the end of
legalized enslavement in the United States of America.
Two legendary New York communities connect for a multi-ethnic and
multi-generational remembrance of Juneteenth and its cultural legacy.
By using history as a guide and art as a tool for transformation, we
explore new ways to improve our communities and ourselves.

Come and enjoy our Juneteenth celebration with plenty of art, music, stimulating conversation, free food & drinks

[*] a documentary mastermix presentation by veteran experimental video
artist Darryl Hell [of Abstinence & Emergency Broadcast Network]
[*] live dj sets by Selectress Iriela [Second World | Culture Fest International | 88.9FM] & DJ Hell [s6k.com/NYC]

[*] At midnight, we will have [5] five minutes of silence (one minute for
each one hundred years) for the millions of people and countless
generations, spanning nearly 500 years, that never realized their own
freedom and then a cheer of joy for a hopeful future.
